Enjoy the tranquility and wonderful views of the mountains when you stay at this delightful chalet in Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe.
Guests staying in winter will appreciate the ski lift just 500m from the chalet. If you’d like to explore other areas, a shuttle bus will take you to Crest-Voland and Flumet / Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle, opening up nearly 200km of slopes in the Espace Diamant.
Outside the ski season, nature comes alive and the region buzzes with activity, especially around Lake Flumet, which is very popular with families. The Saisies aquatic and wellness centre is just a 10-minute drive away. Other activities include hiking, cycling, paragliding, mountain biking, and various water sports.
After a day full of adventures, you can relax in the sauna at Chalet Gridloup, or simply enjoy the stunning views of Mont Charvin and the Aravis mountain range from the terraces.
Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe has a supermarket, a grocery store, a butcher, a bakery and several sports equipment rental shops. For more options, Megève is just 15km away.
About the property…
Chalet Gridloup is a three-storey property for up to eight guests, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The living area, decorated in relaxing tones, combines three connected spaces around a cosy wood-burning stove. The lounge, with its corner sofa and TV, offers breathtaking views of the Aravis mountain range. There’s room for everyone to eat together at the dining table, and the corner kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious meals. And before you eat, why not enjoy an “apéro” as you take in the views from the balcony?
On the lower floor, three double bedrooms open onto a terrace. One can be arranged with two single beds if needed. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, and the third has a bathroom. This level also has a laundry room with washer and dryer, a separate toilet and a sauna for ultimate relaxation.
The fourth double bedroom is on the upper floor. It has a private balcony and a bathroom with both a shower and a bath, as well as a separate WC. Chalet Gridloup also has a TV room with armchairs and a desk, as well as a games room with board games and an additional desk for guests who want to relax or work remotely.
You can store your skis in the garage before entering the chalet, and there’s room for two extra cars outside the property.
About the area...
Sitting at the heart of the Mont-Blanc, Beaufortain and Aravis mountain ranges, the village of Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is a real gem, allowing guests to discover the popular traditions of Savoie and the history of the Val d'Arly, as well as its culinary heritage. Many farms in the region offer tours to visitors, who can see how the delicious local cheeses are made.
At the foot of Mont Vorès, which rises to an altitude of 2,070 metres, Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is linked to the other resorts in the Val d'Arly (Flumet/Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle, Crest-Voland/Cohennoz and Praz-sur-Arly) and the Les Saisies/Hauteluce area. This gives skiers and boarders access to the 192km of slopes and 84 ski lifts of the Espace Diamant. Free, regular shuttle buses connect the valley to the hamlets at higher altitudes, offering a variety of skiing experiences.
In summer, Lake Flumet is a popular spot for families. Go for a swim, try paddleboarding or enjoy a picnic while the children make the most of the playground and skatepark. It is also a prime starting point for exploring the Alpine countryside on foot or by bike, with the renowned Route des Grandes Alpes offering spectacular views.
Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is a great year-round destination, easily accessible from Lyon and Geneva airports.

Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe has been part of our family’s history since 1974. It was probably the old bell tower and the rare charm of an authentic Alpine village that made our grandparents linger here.
Since then, the whole family, down to the great-grandchildren, has been visiting regularly, in both summer and winter.
We have continued this tradition by building Chalet Gridloup, which was completed in 2024. Its location puts you within easy reach of all activities such as ski lifts, hiking trails and the village centre, all without using a car.
At Chalet Gridloup, you’ll find a warm and cosy atmosphere: curl up with a book, enjoy a board game in the lounge with views of Mont Charvin, or sip your morning coffee at the large dining table while you take in the scenery – the choice is yours!
